CASA OM POTOMAC

"These MF'ers should pay me double", I thought to myself. It wasn't the first time I repeated the mantra. At the end of our hot yoga classes we gave out cool lavender towels. It created a spa experience with a nice touch to conclude a sweaty class. But I had other things on my mind.
I had just returned from my retreat center, Casa Om in Mexico and told a story.
I was snorkeling far out in the ocean when it started to rain. Instead of coming back, I started holding my breath and swimming deep underneath the ocean as the clouds formed above. After diving deep, I looked to the surface and saw the rain strike the water. At some point the rain drops dissolve and become the ocean. But it's hard to say when.
I relayed the lesson of oneness & connection. Like rain on the ocean, at what point are we linked into the universe. Is it when we breath? When we speak and contribute our thoughts? Where do we end and the rest of the world begins?
Deeply moved, a student sat up, " Are you going to hand out the lavender cloths or not?!"
